Today, black metal primitivists Divine Ecstasy stream the entirety of their highly anticipated debut mini-album, Strange Passions. Set for international release on August 10th via Iron Bonehead Productions, hear Divine Ecstasy’s Strange Passions in its entirety exclusively HERE.
Hailing from the darkest and dingiest recesses of Detroit’s metal underground, Divine Ecstasy are a sonic embodiment of all that post-apocalyptic city’s grit and grime, simply taken to a black metal extreme. This filthy foursome are unapologeticaly raw and regressionist, hailing the most ancient, trend-free days of early BLACK fucking METAL. Such gods as pre-Viking Bathory, Mayhem, Root, Bulldozer, and Master’s Hammer are indeed hailed – as well as later torch-carriers like early Ulver, Dodheimsgard, Judas Iscariot, and Hades (Norway) – and then desecrated in a most salacious manner, so sick and sickening is the heart that beats black blood through Divine Ecstasy. Indeed, Strange Passions is aptly titled, for perversion and Bacchanalia guide these six mini-anthems as surely as devil worship and the invoking of demons – and it’s all done with a Loki-like sense of wrongness. Truly, these Strange Passions are so wrong, they’re right…right inside the depths of Divine Ecstasy!
Step entirely into those depths exclusively HERE,

BEYOND CREATION are now premiering the first crushing new track of their forthcoming new album ‘Algorythm’, which is slated for release on October 12th, 2018.
The Canadian masters of progressive technical death metal are streaming “The Inversion” in the form of a music video
BEYOND CREATION comment: “We are stoked to premier ‘The Inversion’ as a first glimpse of the tonal variety we were able to express on our upcoming record ‘Algorythm’. Each musician was challenged to step out of his comfort zone to achieve the right vibe for each section of this track and we are confident of the songwriting work involved throughout the song. On the visual side, it was a pleasure to witness the outstanding work of each member of Rubicon’s team through every step of the process. We are incredibly happy on how this music video turned out and we’re excited for our fans to discover the epic story-line and plot it offers. Each one of us was thrilled to play a role in the scenario of the video and we hope that it opens up more opportunities of this kind for Beyond Creation but also for every metal band out there! The French part of Canada is home to a vibrant culture of technical Death Metal fostered by outstanding acts such as GORGUTS, CRYPTOPSY, MARTYR, and NEURAXIS. This illustrious family tree has produced many sprouts in the past, yet none of them are as brilliant as Quebec’s amazing scion: BEYOND CREATION!
BEYOND CREATION saw the light of day in 2005 in Montreal, Canada but it wasn’t until 2010 that the band was ready to hit the stage with their original line-up consisting of Simon Girard, Kevin Chatré, Guyot Bégin-Benoît and Dominic ‘Forest’ Lapointe. A year later, the band self-released their debut full-length album ‘The Aura’ (2011), which quickly became a highlight in the genre. Since then, BEYOND CREATION has been known as the progressive, innovative and exciting new metal sound of their homeland, Quebec.
In late 2012, the band had Philippe Boucher (Ex-FIRST FRAGMENT, INCADESCENSE, CHTHE’ILIST, DÉCOMBRES) take Guyot’s place on drums and things started moving at a faster pace in 2013, when they joined Season of Mist, re-releasing ‘The Aura’ and touring North America and Japan. In 2014, BEYOND CREATION released their second masterpiece ‘Earthborn Evolution’.
After the addition of Hugo Doyon-Karout (BROUGHT BY PAIN, EQUIPOISE, CONFLUX) on bass, the band focused on touring as much as possible on the ‘Earthborn Evolution’ album cycle compiling 3 North American tours, 3 European tours, countless shows in Canada, appearances in Mexico, Colombia and Dubaï, sharing the stage with heavy weights like ARCH ENEMY, HATE ETERNAL, MISERY INDEX, DYING FETUS, PSYCROPTIC and OBSCURA. They also took part in multiple large-scale music festivals such as Hellfest (FR), 70 000 Tons of Metal (US), UK Tech-Fest, Montebello Rockfest (CA), Heavy MTL (CA) and Damnation Fest (UK).
In 2018, BEYOND CREATION recorded their highly-anticipated third album ‘Algorythm’ at The Grid Studio in home land Canada, which is set for release on October 12th, 2018. With the new album, BEYOND CREATION delivers a ferocious blend of technicality, melody, and brutality aided by fang-filled growls, which is interwoven with beautiful progressive interludes. Prepare for the lightning evolution of the progressive technical death metal revolution!

Today, Edged Circle Productions sets October 26th as the North American release date for Lydia Laska’s highly anticipated second album, Ego Death. The European release date is set for October 5th.
Lydia Laska hail from Stavanger and Oslo, Norway. Forming in 2002, its members come from a diverse musical background, including (but certainly not limited to) the early black metal scene as well as prog/krautrock, punk, and good ol’ rock ‘n’ roll. The band’s recorded debut came in 2006 with the White Trash Attack EP, and was followed by two more EPs – We’re Nothing Compared to Ourselves (2007) and Could I Have a Go On Your Girl, Please? (2009) – but it wasn’t until their debut album in 2010, Krankenhaus, where the Lydia Laska aesthetic truly took flight. A devilishly dark, boldly bewildering, but above all perversely catchy sound emerged, drawing in such disparate influences as the Velvet Underground, Faust, David Bowie, Royal Trux, The Stooges, and old-school black metal. Not long after its release, Krankenhaus went on to be critically acclaimed and served as an admitted prime influence for fellow hybrid-benders Kvelertak. Continuing that momentum, Lydia Laska soon became notorious for their chaotic live shows – to the point where they actually had to stop playing gigs since they were generally banned from most venues.
With the stage thus set, anticipation is high for Lydia Laska’s long-awaited second album. Fittingly titled Ego Death, this is the sound of Lydia Laska becoming both brasher and smoother, rougher and more come-hither, swaggering and silky: a truly unique sound that can take over both radio and squats alike. Indeed, life has been that much rougher since the release of Krankenhaus, and the band’s sonic influences are even more varied and violent this time. Knowing beforehand that the stakes were high, Lydia Laska chose to record Ego Death with esteemed producer Emil Nikolaisen (Årabrot, Todd Rundgren, Serena-Maneesh).
What results is an even-more-kaleidoscopic stroll through the gutter, even for those already well versed in Lydia Laska’s mischievous ways. Each of the ten tracks across Ego Death could be a radio hit in the own right…if the radio station was entrenched in the darkest, dingiest sewer and was playing warring factions simultaneously. And yet, for however schizophrenic Ego Death might sound on the surface, beneath that surface is an entirely earnest and completely composed method to the mayhem. Each hook shimmers and stabs, but always with the target being both one’s ears and heart; it’s ridiculously difficult to get these songs outta your head. Nikolaisen’s production no doubt aids in Lydia Laska’s earworming nature here, with the soundfield finding a strange – and strangely alluring – balance between shambling and stately, regal and righteously ripped. It is, ultimately, the epitome of an Ego Death.
So, are you prepared for Lydia Laska and that very Ego Death? Will you step forward into the gutter, only to be splashed with sonic slime that will never wash off? Questions, questions…
First track premiere to be revealed shortly. In the meantime, view a special/perverse teaser video HERE .

Staying true to their black metal roots, Volume I: The Bonds of Servitude has cemented the band’s signature USBM sound while bringing a more polished production to the table.
Mantus, the band’s lead vocalist and bassist, said of the new release:
“The album is the beginning of a trilogy exploring the unrepentant darkness of the human condition and the inconceivable power of the gods deep within the farthest reaches of the universe. CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX are now premiering the second track of their forthcoming new album ‘Great Escape’, which is slated for release on September 14th, 2018.
Mastermind Justin Greaves comments on the track: “Given the fact that both Belinda and myself are huge animal lovers and animal rights supporters, it has always seemed the right thing to do to make songs about the animals. We did it with our “other” band Se Delan, so when i gave her the demos for Great Escape songs, Belinda got straight back to me with this burning need to write a song for the animals. It completes the song and fits into the thread of the album.
Vocalist Belinda Kordic adds: Often i’m referred to as a “closed book”, which is true I guess, but when it comes to animals and their well-being, I’ll rip my heart out and serve it on a plate. I know we can’t bare the weight of the worlds evil on our shoulders, and we can’t save all of them, the unloved, abused and neglected animals of the world. But I have a tendency to want to do just that and its hard to cope with at times. This song is for them.”
On the album, Justin Greaves comments: “Sometimes we want to escape from the dark and make a positive change in our life… and yet…Sometimes we simply want to escape this world. Because we’re tired and we’ve had enough… This is what ‘Great Escape’ is. Some parts it’s pure escapism from real life, longing to just shoot straight up and off this planet…. Other parts are born out of frustration at the unjust world we live in. It is.. Escaping from your own broken mind, or from society, or animals escaping from abuse. It’s the escape from the mainstream thought patterns and engrained social conditioning that perpetuates mans destruction of nature. We can be our own ‘Great Escape’ if we want, and it can be however you want to it to be. If you’re not happy then you don’t have to conform, you don’t have to carry on ‘playing the game’.”
CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX have previously revealed the artwork for ‘Great Escape’, which can be viewed together with the album details below.
Track-list ‘Great Escape’
1. You Brought It Upon Yourselves (3:43)
2. To You I Give (9:22)
3. Uncivil War (pt I) (2:50)
4. Madman (4:51)
5. Times, They Are A’Raging (11:58)
6. Rain Black, Reign Heavy (5:58)
7. Slow Motion Breakdown (4:34)
8. Nebulas (5:35)
9. Las Diabolicas (3:49)
10. Great Escape (pt I) (7:36)
11. Great Escape (pt II) (13:03)
‘Great Escape’, this beautiful touch of darkness comes hardly as a surprise, when taking into account that CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX mastermind Justin Greaves has previously gone public about his personal fight against severe depression. Similar dark themes and traits have already been a hallmark of the UK rockers’ latest full-length, ‘Bronze’ (2016).
CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX have always confounded critics trying to pin their style down ever since founder Justin Greaves recorded his first ideas in 2004 – which earned them tagging attempts ranging from “stoner prog” through “freak folk” to “psychedelic doom”. Despite the wide range of musical leanings within their albums, there are a unifying dark streak and somber melancholy running through the songs. Greaves had already made himself a name as drummer for IRON MONKEY and ELECTRIC WIZARD among others. When the multi-instrumentalist finally decided to stand on his own musical feet, CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX was born. This involves a changing cast of musicians and live set-ups which mirrored the ever-ongoing evolution of the band, and the fact that the songs were mostly not composed with a live performance on mind.
Between 2007 and 2014, CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX released a string of five critically highly acclaimed studio albums – namely ‘A Love of Shared Disasters’ (2007), ‘The Resurrectionists’ (2009), ‘Night Raider’ (2009), ‘(Mankind) The Crafty Ape’ (2012), and ‘White Light Generator’ (2014). This was complemented by EPs ‘I, Vigilante’ (2010), ‘No Sadness or Farewell’ (2012), and ‘Oh’ Ech-oes’ (2015), the live recording ‘Live Poznan’ (2013), and the ‘200 Tons of Bad Luck’ compilation (2009). Their ‘New Dark Age Tour EP 2015 A.D.’ was the band’s first release on Season of Mist and came with an extensive homage to PINK FLOYD. The strong influence of the UK rock giants could also be felt on ‘Bronze’ (2016), yet while CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX never denied their roots, this outstanding act has long created their own sonic cosmos.
With last year’s ‘Horrific Honorifics’ offering, the band elegantly payed tribute to great artists and classic songs while making those tracks their own in sound and spirit without compromising the integrity of the original masterpieces.
Now with ‘Great Escape’, CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX take you on their new adventure and let you explore their sonic cosmos even further, and where all its emotions are reflected on to this earth. From the angry “Rain Black”, to the unnerving “Madman” and forgiving “Nebulas”, CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX arise once more.
Today, Iron Bonehead Productions sets October 19th as the international release date for Eadem’s striking debut mini-album, Luguber, on CD and 12″ vinyl format.
Shrouded in platonic madness, Eadem emerged in 2009 under a chaotic, dirty, and ritualistic atmosphere by the hands of Stramonivm. Later one night, T. joined in, driven by a psychotropic dementia and spiritual quest. Malfiore appeared one evening draped in scarlet somewhere in 2012.
Musically, among other influences and genres, Eadem play something that could be labelled as traditional “free jam” black metal. Lyrically, the trio deal with sorcery, occultism, superstitions, depraved poetry, and alchoholism.
Eadem’s first demo recording, In Vino Veritas, was self-released in 2014 with the participation of Stramonivm (guitar, vocals, and lyrics), Malfiore (bass and vocals), and T. (guitar and effects); the session drums were done by Iunus (Ab Imo Pectore, Monte Penumbra). The band’s second demo, Hekserij, was invoked through the participation of Stramonivm (guitar, drums, vocals, lyrics), Malfiore (bass, vocals), and T. (guitars, effects) and was self-released September 21, 2015 to celebrate the autumn equinox.
With that experience behind them, it is now to the mini-album Luguber to portray the full strength of Eadem’s provocative vision. In many ways parallel to their native Portugal’s raw black metal scene and yet perpendicular all the same, Luguber takes the listener on a warped, wobbly ride deep into the depraved depths of Eadem’s subconscious. Within that realm exist shadows that devour other shadows, each one more menacing than the next, but all seemingly moving with deceptive delicateness – forceful, for sure, but always with an elusiveness/aloofness that’s stultifyingly out of one’s grasp. Clanging chords and mesmerizing melodies, akimbo shapes thrown by obscene structures, all amidst a soundfield that’s incredibly dynamic, even within such ghostly rawness: Luguber is truly hallucinogenic, and daringly so.
For this recording, the Eadem cult consists of Stramonivm, Malfiore, and Tiúval (Israthoum, etc). Lyrically and musically, they approach an entity in its spiritual decay, in madness and asylum – the need for the ultimate ritual for her own survival, her own chaos or the lack of peace.
Enter the stark and desolate catacombs of Eadem’s Luguber and emerge enlightened…or utterly empty. If you are not a false, entry can be found with the new track “Delusions of Grandeur” HERE

Tracklisting for Eadem’s Luguber
1. Consecutive Dementia
2. Restrained by an Old Rite

August 1, 2018 – Los Angeles, CA – Following two decades of acclaimed success, with revered releases from some of the most prolific and groundbreaking acts in eclectic heavy music, Germany based Prophecy Productions has officially announced their expansion to North America with a division of the label now established in Los Angeles.
Further affirming their presence, Prophecy has unveiled the first edition of Prophecy Fest USA, which will take place at The Knitting Factory in Brooklyn, NY on November 2nd and 3rd. The inaugural event will feature performances by Alcest, Xasthur, November’s Doom, So Hideous and more. Those who purchase tickets to the Fest will receive a special edition 2xCD Prophecy Compilation. Two day tickets are available now at http://us.prophecy.de/prophecy-fest/prophecy-fest-us-ticket.html.
Prophecy Productions emerged in 1996, quickly earning worldwide regard for high quality releases and a selective, eclectic roster. Beginning as a self-run mail order, Prophecy owner & founder Martin Koller released Empyrium’s 1996 debut, A Wintersunset… To this day, he has continued to nurture and develop artists he loves, resulting in a staggering roster which sports artist such as Alcest, Khôrada, Bethlehem, Lantlôs, Falkenbach, etc.
With growing awareness of the vast differences and growing possibilities in the US metal community, Koller chose to expand into the US by opening a North American division. In 2017, Koller moved to California to explore new possibilities in the American market, establishing a diverse, talented and dedicated American team, consisting of Rayshele Teige (ex-Century Media and Osmose), Kay Shelton (ex-20 Buck Spin & Wolves in the Throne Room, Northwest Terror Fest), and Matt Bacon (Metal Injection, Dropout Media).
With Prophecy in the USA, this powerhouse team aims to enrich and expand the Prophecy roster, uncovering and cultivating fresh artists and supporting icons alike. So far, the US roster reads eccentric, eclectic and nicely unpragmatic; US black metal pioneers Nachtmystium and Xasthur, highly speculated and anticipated supergroup Khôrada (ex-Agalloch, Giant Squid), blackened-sludge abyss Eye of Nix, Oakland surrealists Silence in the Snow, black metal/noise crossover superstar Crowhurst, and brute-doom experimentalists Year of the Cobra.
Today, Hells Headbangers sets October 5th as the international release date for Deathhammer’s highly anticipated fourth album, Chained to Hell, on CD, vinyl LP, and cassette tape formats.
By now, Deathhammer should need no introduction. For 13 years, this insatiable Norwegian duo have been at the forefront of the burgeoning blackthrash movement. Though blackthrash has seen intermittent surges in popularity over the last few decades, for sole members Sadomancer and Sargeant Salsten, this is a way of life – not a trend. Deathhammer proved as much as with their cult debut album, Phantom Knights, in 2010 and then proved it yet further and more fully – and more furiously and filthily – with 2013’s Onward to the Pits and 2015’s Evil Power, both of which were released by Hells Headbangers to widespread international acclaim. And yet, through it all, the duo kept their wits about them, simply being Deathhammer and taking their irresistible (and irresistibly evil) charm to stages worldwide, including a command performance at Hells Headbangers’ Hells Headbash 2 in 2015.
With the stage set thusly, Chained to Hell is a statement of intent for Deathhammer: this is who they are, eternally, and there’s no turning back. Everything that’s endeared the duo to legions worldwide – bursting-at-the-seams energy, forever-forward momentum, coiling-yet-catchy songwriting, and that strangely clean ‘n’ clanging guitar tone that’s somehow dirtier than most other blackthrash out there – is here, both in a state that’s blood-red raw and sagely mature. It’s a unique duality that Deathhammer so unselfconsciously exude here, that youthful enthusiasm somehow remaining intact but simultaneously imparting an aeons-old wisdom, the entirety of classic metal history run through a rusty blender. Of course, the firmest foundation still remains that fateful year of 1985, when when Sodom and especially Destruction were releasing their respective, undeniably classic debut EPs – but also of course, Deathhammer possess that elusive charisma that elevates Chained to Hell from lazy pastiche to a crucial component in that blackthrashing continuum.
Some bands age like fine wine, while others are mostly remembered for their early, exuberant energy. With Chained to Hell, Deathhammer prove you can do both!

Today, Seance Records sets October 5th as the international release date for the long-awaited debut album of Australia’s Ichor, God of Thunder God of War.
If the name Ichor isn’t immediately familiar, it’s for good reason: this extremely cult black metal band formed in 1993 and disbanded later that year. During that time, the band recorded and released a self-titled four-track demo tape. But, its disbanding was also for good reason: Ichor’s two members, Wraith and Diablore, wanted to focus on their other band, the now-legendary Nazxul. Thus, in the grand context of Australian black metal, Ichor served as an oft-unknown yet crucial puzzle piece.
Late in 2017, the decision was made by Wraith and Diablore to re-form Ichor, and the duo promptly recorded the band’s first full-length. Aptly titled God of Thunder God of War, Ichor’s debut album thematically focuses on Slavic paganism. In fact, the moniker Ichor itself the ancient Greek word for the fluid that runs in the gods’ veins; the concept behind using that word was that the only difference between humanity and the gods is a physical substance or principal, thusly meaning that humanity can rise to the ranks of gods.
With that foundation at hand, Ichor’s God of Thunder God of War indeed soars to the heights – and likewise depths – through a sinuous surge of stout, atmospherically inclined black metal. In many ways, the album’s a culmination and consolidation of the paradigmatic Australian black metal sound pioneered by Nazxul – and, by proxy, Ichor – as it wends and wends through the sturm und drang, the tragedy and triumph, for which OZBM has become so renown for nearly two decades. Suitably, here is a sound both timeless and current, breathing the essence of ancient days and charging forward across the present simultaneously: grim majesty and bittersweet melodicism commingle, their tendrils locking together as the almost-levitational thrust of Ichor’s palpable physicality takes flight. It all makes for high drama, suggestive of a narrative arc, and its remarkably compact six-song/37-minute runtime feels far more epic than it has any right to be. Understandably, the album contains a rerecording of one of the original demo tracks, titled “Daughters Of Wrath” – a song about the cunning folk and practitioners of the Slavonic native faith, witches.
Let it be known, however, that God of Thunder God of War is no mere “retro” gesture: Ichor are currently working on new material, and will be an ongoing band. In the meantime, hail the old gods – God of Thunder God of War! Begin hailing with the new track “Spectres of the Woods”

ARCHGOAT unveil a second track from their upcoming new album, ‘The Luciferian Crown’ !
‘The Obsidian Flame (From My Depths)’ is built on a colossally grim, thuggishly heavy, lethally toxic riff. The momentum of the music isn’t a rush, nor animated by technical acrobatics. The pace is like that of a heaving, stalking behemoth, driven by a slow, punishing drum cadence — which erupts in bursts of thundering mania without warning.
The vocals, of course, are a heartless croaking sound which seems only barely human. And the song is further marked by paranormal lead-guitar vibrations that truly seem like emanations from a sulphurous realm. Those brief perilous melodies warble, swirl, and ring out in devilish clarion calls. The combination of all these ingredients is like a primal invocation, a summoning of demonic lust, or perhaps like a tumor that grows in the listener’s brain and continues to fester there after the track ends. (No Clean Singing)
Chris Moyen created the vision of hellish worship and orgy on the cover and the layout was crafted by Kontamination Design.
‘The Luciferian Crown’ features 9 (+intro) new angelslaying Black Metal hymns :
01. Intrantation
02. Jesus Christ Father of Lies
03. Jezebels Black Mass Orgy
04. Messiah of Pigs
05. Darkness has Returned
06. Sorcery and Doom
07. Star of Darkness and Abyss
08. The Obsidian Flame (From My Depths)
09. The Luciferian Crown (Venom Of God)
