Norway’s ABHORRATION set release date for INVICTUS debut EP, reveal first track – features members of CONDOR, OBLITERATION, NEKROMANTHEON+++

Today, Invictus Productions announces November 26th as the international release date for the striking debut EP of Norway’s Abhorration, After Winter Comes War, on cassette tape format. The CD and 12″ vinyl versions will follow next year.

A brand-new formation begun in early 2020, Norway’s Abhorration nevertheless feature members hailing from such bands as Condor, Nekromantheon, Hecatomb, Resonaut, Purple Hill Witch, and Obliteration. While one could reasonably expect what sound might result from such a conglomeration, the power-trio’s first public recording, After Winter Comes War, aims for an olde-world Metal of Death that abounds with a refreshing sense of the “new.” Here, Abhorration invoke and re-arrange trace elements of classic Sadistic Intent, Morbid Angel, Possessed, and early Vader into something uniquely labyrinthine – epic, haunting, and most devotedly METAL above all – with the wicked angularity of prime Axis of Advance to make proceedings that much more twisted & pissed. The recording across After Winter Comes War is suitably raw, but the execution is deadly tight, and the four component compositions thus ripple with an intensity that’s scabrous. And thankfully, not once is there a cloying sense of “retro” here. Truly, an auspicious first start for this formation!

What comes after After Winter Comes War? Only Abhorration know at this moment – the band has since expanded to a quartet, and a full-length is rumored to be in the works – but Invictus is ready for whatever arsenal is provided next!

The first arsenal can be found with the brand-new title track “After Winter Comes War”

NOCTURNAL GRAVES sound the charge with their venomous new offering, ‘An Outlaw’s Stand.’ Coalescing the nastiest and rawest elements of death, thrash, and black metal, the Australian outlaws’ brand of apocalyptic metal explodes like an atom bomb, leaving utter devastation in its path. The relentless onslaught of pure brutality makes one thing clear – Long live death!

NOCTURNAL GRAVES were originally formed in Victoria, Australia in 2004. Two well received demos, ‘Profanation of Innocence’ and ‘Deathstorm,’ followed in the same year. Quickly securing a deal, the band officially released the ‘Necromancer’ 7″ vinyl in 2006 before unleashing their cult debut full-length, ‘Satan’s Cross,’ the following year. The iconic album was later re-issued with the stunning cover art by renowned painter Paolo Girardi (INQUISITION, MANILLA ROAD, HIEROPHANT) in 2017.

When the Australians first hit Europe in 2009, they celebrated the event with ‘The Gravespirit Sessions’ split. Former DESTRÖYER 666 and RAZOR OF OCCAM guitarist Shrapnel, as well as drummer L.W., joined in 2012.

NOCTURNAL GRAVES widely extended their international fanbase with the release of sophomore album ‘…From the Bloodline of Cain’ (2014), which resulted in an invitation to the 2016 edition of Maryland Deathfest and more shows in the United States. The band supported the tour with a limited 7″ EP ‘Sharpen the Knives / Lead us to the Endless Fire.’

Upon a line-up change in 2018 in which L.W. departed from the band and J. took his place back behind the drums, the band saw their third album, “Titan,” released through Season of Mist. An Australian/New Zealand tour with WATAIN followed in support of the album’s release.

In 2019, NOCTURNAL GRAVES joined forces alongside DESTRÖYER 666, DEAD CONGREGATION, and INCONCESSUS LUX LUCIS and embarked upon the Sons of Rebellion tour throughout Europe.

At the onset of the world plunging headfirst into the pandemic, the band locked themselves away to write and record their fourth assault, ‘An Outlaw’s Stand.’ Upon reflection, this new offering encompasses the entire history of NOCTURNAL GRAVES, compiling eight tracks of sheer ferocity and raw, untamed black and death metal.

Black/death monstrosity Concrete Winds premiere new track

Today, black/death monstrosity Concrete Winds premiere the new track “Demonic Truculence” . The track is the second to be revealed from the band’s highly anticipated second album, Nerve Butcherer, set for international release on November 26th via Sepulchral Voice Records. Hear Concrete Winds‘ “Demonic Truculence” in its entirety here:

After Primitive Force in 2019, Concrete Winds now deliver their second full-length, fittingly entitled Nerve Butcherer. The content is hard to believe yet even harder to describe, as words might simply fail regarding this vile eruption of utmost hatred. The record precisely continues where its predecessor left the listener shocked and terrified. Repulsion on 78rpm, Morbid Angel hunting in bloodlust, Terrorizer infected with rabies, or Funeral Mist’s most dreadful moments may be even understatements for this (surely) god-damned cacophony.

Concrete Winds don’t want to please anybody, nor do they want to be accepted. All they want is to spread disgust and confusion; their tongue is that of perversion, abhorrence, and wrath. Ever witnessed a biblical plague of locusts? Well, dare to listen to Nerve Butcherer and you might find the sonic equivalent. Slaughterhouse atmosphere and total destruction meet even nastier moments to bang your head.

Some folks might say it can’t get worse after Primitive Force, but better beware of listening to Nerve Butcherer…as this is truly damn fucking mentally disordered!!!

Hear the previously revealed “Noise Trepanation” exclusively HERE, courtesy of InvisibleOranges.com. Ambitiously recorded and mixed by Stefan Brändström at the Dustward Studio, and mastered by Phil Kusabs. Cover and tracklisting are as follows:

Tracklisting for Concrete Winds’ Nerve Butcherer
1. Nerve Butcherer [2:25]
2. Chromium Jaws [3:07]

5. Noise Trepanation [2:18]
