Today, Mütiilation founder Meyhnach premieres the new track “Virus.” The track is the first to be revealed from the man’s highly anticipated second album, Miseria de profundis, set for international release on April 29th via Osmose Productions. Hear Meyhnach‘s “Virus” in its entirety here:
Five years after Non omnis moriar, Meyhnach is back with a second opus called Miseria de profundis, a full-length piece of black metal with some weird elements. The album contains the seven prophecies of a visionary digging into the depths of human misery.
Miseria de profundis, lamentum in fine saeculi predicts the world’s downfall through the eyes of a mad man that travels through feelings like paranoia, pandemics, terrorism, and other faces of Evil of the third millennium.
Cover and tracklisting are as follows:

Five months after the release of their highly acclaimed fifth long player, the Finnish Black Metal band returns with four bludgeoning and uncompromising tracks. Today, Debemur Morti Productions proudly present the full stream of “All Christianity Ends” in cooperation with Black Metal Promotion. Listen to the mini album here!
ARCHGOAT‘s latest work of Art is not only a fierce culmination of all their influences and artistic foundations, but its sound is also a natural continuation of their deadly first EP “Angelcunt“. The band delivers steadfast evidence that Black Metal has changed, but ARCHGOAT did not.
Words of praise for “All Christianity Ends“:
““All Christianity Ends” shows (as if we all needed reminding) that ARCHGOAT are, and have always been, an unstoppable juggernaut of sacrilegious savagery. Unmatched and inimitable.” (Black Metal Daily) “In a few years, the band will celebrate 35 years of existence. But they have not been mellowed by age a bit. ARCHGOAT sound uncompromisingly raw, edgy, and forceful!” (Legacy Mag)
The mini album will be released on CD, vinyl (including an exclusive DMP edition) and digitally, accompanied by high-quality merchandise, on April 22nd. Pre-orders are possible via the label’s EU, US and Bandcamp shops.
ARCHGOAT crawled from the deepest pits of hell to form in 1989, a demonic trio consisting of the brothers Ritual Butcherer and Lord Angelslayer on guitars and vocals/bass respectively, as well as Blood Desecrator on drums. After a pair of demo tapes, ARCHGOAT shook the Black Metal world in 1993 with the release of their debut EP “Angelcunt (Tales of Desecration)“, showcasing a relentless and bestial blend of Black and Death Metal. With a growing dissolution with the Black Metal scene at large, and a disagreement with their then record label Necropolis Records over the terms of their debut record, ARCHGOAT vanished from scene in late 1993.
In 2004 the gates reopened anew. ARCHGOAT returned to finally release their long-lost material the following year, and then their first official full-length, “Whore of Bethlehem“, in 2006. Since then they have released two more albums, “The Light-Devouring Darkness” in 2009 and “The Apocalyptic Triumphator” in 2015 under Debemur Morti Productions, as well as a series of splits, EPs, and compilations. Between releases they have carved out a reputation for their malevolent live rituals, storming the shores of Europe, the United States, and Mexico alongside bands such as BEHEXEN, BLACK WITCHERY, and HELL MILITIA.
2018 saw ARCHGOAT unleash their satanic opus “The Luciferian Crown“, their second full length under Debemur Morti. An ungodly black sacrament of a kind that only ARCHGOAT can craft, “The Luciferian Crown” is a testament to what Black Metal should be, bestial, unrelenting, and unholy. Black Metal changed, ARCHGOAT did not, and it is their capable hands that shall carry the black flame forward for years to come.
In 2020, the live album “Black Mass XXX” adequately captured the angelslaying chaos present during their gig in Paris in September 2019. The recorded concert was part of ARCHGOAT‘s 30-year anniversary gig series and a worthy addition to their discography. With “Worship The Eternal Darkness” (out November 2021), the Finnish Black Metal band will cement their well-earned reputation for being one of the most consistent bands the scene has ever seen. ARCHGOAT‘s fifth album is, once again, a unique synthesis of occult Finnish Black/Death Metal, harsh Punk, primal Thrash and Grindcore.
In April 2022, a companion piece to the latest album and a natural successor to the band’s first EP, “Angelcunt“, will be unleashed. The mini album “All Christianity Ends” channels the rawness and devastation of the early ARCHGOAT days in four gruesome new compositions.
Today, olde-worlde black metallers Mistcavern stream their highly anticipated debut mini-album, Into Twilight. Set for international release on April 15th via Iron Bonehead Productions, hear Mistcavern‘s Into Twilight in its entirety here:
Mistcavern are a quartet hailing from Hungary, formed in 2019. Not long after forming, the band recorded their debut demo, Winds of Misery, which was initially self-released in super-limited quantities but then made widely available by Iron Bonehead at the dawn of 2020. Now, two years later, Mistcavern strike with their most assured work yet, making good on the plentiful promise displayed on Winds of Misery.
As it was in the beginning and as it is now, Mistcavern unabashedly pick up the torch left behind by the second-wave Nordic acts with their works of pure and otherworldly atmospheres in the first half of the 1990s. In many ways, the resultant Into Twilight is 26 minutes of veritable time-warp: one can verily be transported to dark medieval times, at the dawn of a dying sun, feeling an ærie descent. And for those still dealing with the loss & curse of reverence, whether there at the start of those long-flickering fires or later generations who hear the call down time immemorial, Mistcavern will surely satisfy all dark desires. But taken another way, Into Twilight reveals its own ancient imagination. Far from mere “retro” replication or insincere genre exercise before jettisoning for some other fickle fancy, this four-piece deeply understand the richly mystical vibrations beneath those hallowed tomes of yore, building on the duality of both concealed and boundless imagery, showcasing scenes buried in thick fog, far from the ordure of man and deep in nature’s embrace while also glorifying of the infinite emptiness and the longing for the End of All.
And paradoxically, with Into Twilight will one find a new beginning. Roam the new hinterlands of old with Mistcavern, and raise the torches high!
Cover and tracklisting are as follows:
Tracklisting for Mistcavern’s Into Twilight 1. Towards the Eclipse [6:54] 2. The Shielding Twilight [5:50] 3. To the Starless Domain [6:13] 4. Dissolving in Infinite Despair [6:44]
Today, Blood Harvest Records announces May 20th as the international release date for the highly anticipated debut mini-album of Poland’s Clairvoyance, Threshold of Nothingness, on CD and cassette tape formats. The 12″ vinyl version will follow later this year.
Hailing from Warsaw City, Clairvoyance with the idea to embody their passion for ’90s extreme metal – predominantly death metal, as one might guess – and maybe spark some interest in OSDM in the local underground scene. And they managed to spark interest beyond their local scene with the release of their self-titled debut demo in 2020, evincing a dark ‘n’ disgusting sound that, uniquely, was lucidly played. Not easily pigeonholed, in just 11 minutes did Clairvoyance show massive potential.
And now it blooms with the 24-minute mini-album Threshold of Nothingness. Kicking right into gear, Clairvoyance waste no time in drawing the listener down into a slipstream of dread frequencies and attacking-yet-angular rhythms, a congealing mass of slimy riffs and mind-melted solos. Yet again, the quintet’s execution is peerless, locating that elusive balance between deadly precision and delirious mania. The songwriting may surge and sway, ever twisting through catacombs of turn-of-the-’90s splendor, but their breakdowns are literal BEATDOWNS that proudly meld old NYDM with contemporaneous Finnish filth. All told, Threshold of Nothingness evinces a freshness of approach by imaginatively recasting classic archetypes and carrying it forward with conviction.
Mark the Clairvoyance name now, and enter their Threshold of Nothingness or forever pose!
Begin entering with the brand-new track “The Curse” here:
Cover and tracklisting are as follows:
Tracklisting for Clairvoyance (Poland)’s Threshold of Nothingness 1. Decline Into Oblivion 2. The Curse 3. Chronicles Of Emptiness 4. A Cairn Of Souls 5. Tarnished Vessel
Today, American death metallers Obscene announce the tour dates in support of Morta Skuld. The US tour coincides with the release of the band’s highly anticipated second album, …From Dead Horizon to Dead Horizon, which is set for release on CD and tape formats on May 27th via Blood Harvest Records; the vinyl version will follow on August 5th. Confirmed dates for the Morta Skuld / Obscene tour, as well as poster art, are as follows: 6/3 – Youngstown, OH @ West Side Bowl 6/2 – Louisville, KY @ Mag Bar 6/1 – Memphis, TN @ Hi Tone 5/31 – New Orleans, LA @ Santos 5/30 – Houston, TX @ Super Happy Fun Land 5/29 -Austin, TX @ The Lost Well 5/28 – San Antonio, TX @ TBA 5/27 – Dallas, TX @ Double Wide Bar 5/26 – Tulsa, OK @ Whittier Bar 5/25 – St Louis, MO @ Platypus
Conjured in 2016, Obscene are a death metal quartet from Indianapolis, Indiana. Following their Sermon to the Snake demo in late 2017, they quickly caught the attention of Sweden’s Blood Harvest, who reissued the demo on cassette and digital formats in early 2018. 2020 saw the release of Obscene‘s debut LP, The Inhabitable Dark. The record, earning year-end accolades from the likes of Zero Tolerance, Invisible Oranges, Grizzly Butts, Last Rites, etc. continues to garner praise of fans and critics internationally. 2020 prevented Obscene from performing live; in 2021, the band resurfaced for successful festival appearances at Tri State Terror and Full Terror Assault alongside acts such as Nunslaughter, Wraith, and Bat as well as a Chicago crusher with Skeletal Remains and Molder while resuming writing and recording …From Dead Horizon to Dead Horizon.
Now 2022 sees the release of that highly anticipated second album, ….From Dead Horizon to Dead Horizon. Recorded by engineer Noah Buchanan (Midnight, Nunslaughter) at Mercinary Studios and mastered by Dan Swano (Bloodbath, Hail of Bullets) at Unisound AB, the follow-up to the band’s critically acclaimed The Inhabitable Dark full-length is as bulldozingly devastating as it is infectious and memorable. Far and away their most surgical performance to date, …From Dead Horizon to Dead Horizon bursts at the seams with world-eating rhythms, barbaric riffs, and pained howls at the moon. Obscene don’t care about reinventing the wheel; rather, they opt to keep the faithful wheel turning. The album is suitably adorned with the cover art of Skadvaldur (Coffin Rot, Ripped to Shreds).
To kick of the release of …From Dead Horizon to Dead Horizon, Obscene will be touring the United States in support of Morta Skuld. And the wheel keeps turning!

On June 30th internationally, Dying Victims Productions will release Spellforger’s explosive debut EP, Upholders of Evil, on 12” vinyl format.
Hailing from Indonesia, Spellforger began in early 2020, highly influenced by early proto-black metal such as Celtic Frost, early Slayer, Bathory, Possessed, and also modern black metal-influenced thrash metal bands such as Cruel Force, Deathhammer, Condor, and Inculter. And since most of the members are a huge fans of the old-school style of death metal, Spellforger‘s music also bears some slight ’90s death metal influences, as well.
Spellforger was formed by Demi Raldi (AKA Middernacht), and then he also invited a close friend named Jamie (AKA Carrion), who is also guitarist in the black metal bands Ashtarothum and Neurotic of Gods. Together, they then invited a veteran black metal drummer named Yaya (AKA L. Tchort), who has been involved in the black metal scene since the mid ’90s. Some time after, Spellforger was finally formed, with Middernacht recruiting a friend named Fauzan (AKA Horrifier) to fill the position of bassist even though his real skill is playing drums.
A few weeks after the band had formed, Spellforger started to write their first single, “Pestilentia,” and it was recorded three weeks later without any rehearsal. The song was widely well-received with black/thrash fans, with some viewing the band as giving a new, fresh injection into their local metal scene – this because Indonesia (in this case, Bandung) is widely known for its huge death metal scene, mainly focused on the brutal/slam style, which has largely been overdone. Instead, Spellforger wanted to revive the spirit of old-school metal within their local scene, bringing a strong anti-poser attitude in their music and lyrics. The band are also against any other sort of trends that’ve been going on for quite some time within that local scene.
Alas, Spellforger released their debut EP, Upholders of Evil, on CD in early spring 2021 via Personal Records. Bearing six tracks in 22 minutes, Upholders of Evil is a fresh blast of old air, the band honoring the ancient ways – actual songwriting, live playing, unpolished recording – with utmost aplomb whilst never reeking of “retro” regressionism. The record reaped widespread acclaim, and came to the attention of Dying Victims, who are now releasing it on the format it so rightly deserves: VINYL!
Simply put, this is METAL played by METAL maniacs – and Dying Victims is indeed home to nowadays’ most maniacal metal. If anyone needed further convincing, the title alone to Upholders of Evil should say more than enough, as Spellforger likewise exude a tangible evil here: never overwrought nor overly obvious, this atmosphere authentically harkens to those ancient forebears.
No other words needed: Spellforger’s Upholders of Evil will at last spread its black magick on vinyl!
In the meantime, hear a special medley here:
Cover and and tracklisting are as follows:
Tracklisting for Spellforger’s Upholders of Evil 1. Upholders of Evil 2. Lord of Possession 3. Metal Crusaders 4. Curse Of The Lycans 5. Black Spellcrafters 6. Pestilentia
Today, mind-bending death metallers Inanna premiere the new track “Far Away in Other Spheres” at heavily trafficked web-portal. The track is the third to be revealed from the band’s highly anticipated third album, Void of Unending Depths, set for international release on April 25th via Memento Mori. Hear Inanna‘s “Far Away in Other Spheres” in its entirety here:
In a weird and horrific hallucination, guitarist/songwriter Diego Ilabaca received the revelation to create new music. Still in his teen years, he came up with the idea of fusing his favorite albums, Sepultura’s Morbid Visions and Morbid Angel’s Altars of Madness, with the mysticism and transcendence of the long and amazingly structured compositions of his ’70s prog-rock heroes. It took a long time to find the right musicians to realize that vision. Once he did, and like the powerful gods of the Sumerian pantheon, Inanna came to life from the netherworld in 2000, obsessed the early technical death metal acts such as Atheist, Cynic, Death, and Pestilence and plagued with the evil brutality of Suffocation, Deicide, Morbid Angel, Immolation, and Gorguts.
Even though inspired by those acts, this four-piece entity walk a path of uniqueness through their own spheres and interdimensional portals. Unlike other ridiculously over-the-top, ultra-complex, soulless bands, Inanna seek inspiration in the outer worlds and the obscure abysses of the unknown, via demented growls, the nightmarish writings of H.P. Lovecraft, mythology, and ancient lore. Malice, death, and insanity, the human mind, and Cthulhu spells also lurk deep within the band’s concept, like eerie sea tales from a distant century that one can only whisper in fear.
After two albums and many a stage hit by Diego Ilabaca (guitars), Max Neira (bass/vocals), Carlos Fuentes (drums/guitars), and Cristobal Gonzalez (guitars) over the band’s years of existence, Inanna are now ready to unleash their third full-length opus, Void of Unending Depths. Immediately upon pressing “play,” it is crystal clear: Inanna have delivered a masterwork in Void of Unending Depths. While not betraying their core sound they’ve patiently perfected all these years – a swirling maelstrom of bent riff logic, angular speed, world-eating vocal dementia, and otherworldly atmosphere – on this third album do the Chileans convey a confidence of vision and execution that puts them in the upper echelons of death metal’s elite. Indeed, it is still proudly DEATH METAL in name and deed – and same goes for the album’s production and mix/mastering, all courtesy of Fuentes – but Inanna imaginatively weave wonderous, horrifying sensations into the nearly hour-long work that verily transport the listener to dread landscapes on the very thresholds of the imagination…or, at its very depths, a certain “lunar ocean” if you will. For these waves are wayward and turbulent, twisting with a madness only known to their creators; we are simply helpless to fight against that terrible tide. Respite comes, albeit briefly (and beautifully), in spiraling clean-toned fusion breaks, painting yet more rich hues onto that death metal titan… Hearing is believing, but Void of Unending Depths is guaranteed to be one of death metal’s mightiest records this year.
Perhaps one need only to peer deeply into the vivid cover artwork courtesy of Daniel Hermosilla to get a visual clue into Void of Unending Depths‘ madness/mastery. No other words necessary: Inanna have delivered a modern classic!

Today, Hells Headbangers sets May 27th as the international release date for Church of Disgust‘s highly anticipated third album, Weakest is the Flesh, on CD and cassette tape formats; the vinyl LP version will follow later this year. In lieu of this announcement, the new video “Arrogant Death” is revealed. See & hear Church of Disgust‘s “Arrogant Death” video in its entirety here:
Since forming in 2010, Church of Disgust have been spreading sickness throughout the underground. Made up of lead guitarist Joshua Bokemeyer, drummer Dwane Allen, bassist Travis Andrews, and guitarist/vocalist Dustin James, Church of Disgust unleashed two demo tapes before releasing their debut full-length, Unworldly Summoning, in 2014 via Spain’s Memento Mori Records. The next year saw the release of the Dread Ritual EP on Headsplit Records (tape) and Craneo Negro Records (Mexico). In 2016, the band released Veneration of Filth ( in multiple formats via Memento Mori Records, Headsplit Records, and later Maggot Stomp/Sunken Tomb Records), which quickly began making waves in the underground. In the years to follow, the band focused on touring more and making some memorable festival appearances before releasing Consumed by Slow Putrefaction on Maggot Stomp Records in 2020. These three hymns of crushing swamp sickness proved them to be heavier and with more refined songwriting, ignoring trends and staying true to their vision of death metal the way it was meant to be played.
Now aligned with Hells Headbangers, 2022 will bring total death, as Church of Disgust will be releasing their third album, and first for the label: Weakest is the Flesh. Continuing the momentum of their preceding EP, these Gulf Coast death metal fiends deliver their catchiest and most crushing record yet with Weakest is the Flesh. The formula is almost deceptively simple: immediately memorable songwriting that doesn’t insult the listener’s intelligence with over-simplicity nor try to impress with needless technicality, and delivered with impassioned execution and clear-yet-powerful production. It’s “old school” only in the sense of honoring the power of THE RIFF (as well as well-timed divebombing solos!) and otherwise doesn’t pander to the usual retro-posturing cliches. As such, Church of Disgust here variously nod to classic Cianide, Gorefest, Cancer, Pentacle, Opprobrium, and even Napalm Death’s Harmony Corruption but never for too long nor too obviously; their charisma and personality bleed through everything, above all. And Weakest is the Flesh‘s 41 minutes just fly by like that, lodging firmly in the cranium but compelling the listener to press “play” repeatedly.
Featuring eight tracks of ungodly heaviness and the most efficient songwriting around (and a haunting interlude and outro), Weakest is the Flesh is undoubtedly Church of Disgust‘s strongest statement to date. DEATH METAL OR DIE!!!
Also hear the previously revealed “Boiling Seas of Yuggoth” HERE, also at Hells Headbangers‘s official YouTube channel. Preorder info can be found HERE. Cover and tracklisting are as follows:
Tracklisting for Church of Disgust’s Weakest is the Flesh 1. Arrogant Death 2. Horrific Anathema 3. That Which Dwells in the Gloom 4. Seemingly Unnatural Infestations 5. That Great Tomb That Holds No Sound (Interlude) 6. At the Pillar of Souls 7. Humiliated Remains 8. Boiling Seas of Yuggoth 9. Weakest is the Flesh 10. Throne Bearer’s Dirge (Outro)
Today, Chilean death metallers Concilivm stream the entirety of their highly anticipated debut album, A Monument in Darkness. Set for international release on April 8th via Iron Bonehead Productions, hear Concilivm‘s A Monument in Darkness in its entirety here:
Concilivm was born in 2017, founded by its only two members, A and Ω, in the cold south of Chile. Inspired by the darkness of death and black metal of the ’90s, wanting to capture all the violence and mysticism in a work, they decide to release their first recording, an EP titled The Veiled Enigma, which emanated from the abyss in late 2017. The EP was released on tape and CD by Von Frost Records and Dawning Septic Productions, respectively, in early 2018 and later released in their native Chile through Apocalyptic Productions (CD) and Soul Reaper (tape) in 2019.
Tireless and thirsty to continue spreading their darkness, in 2021, Concilivm entered the studio to record what will be their first full-length work, A Monument in Darkness. Encompassing eight tracks across a soul-devouring 39 minutes, A Monument in Darkness is aptly titled: here, a work of pure, dark alchemical devotion to death and the mysteries that surround it. Concilivm‘s chosen medium may still be blackened death (or deathened black?), but there’s a supernatural aura to their feral bestiality and muscular surge; sounds come from myriad, nameless abysses, always from every direction but always taking on a life of their own. Thus, within A Monument to Darkness do we find reverse whispers of the dead, angular drums of war, utterly ignorant beatdowns, entrancing speed, and even malevolent melodies within their classically early ’90s leads. Put another way, Concilivm give a masterclass in brilliant black/death songwriting, honoring tradition but adding their own energy and personality into it. What’s more, the production across the album is absolutely CRUSHING and surely the work of men playing together as an actual band rather than just a file-sharing project.
No “mystery,” no hyperbole, no trend: Concilivm have delivered 2022’s purest distillation of dread and DEATH with A Monument in Darkness.
Cover and tracklisting are as follows:
Tracklisting for Concilivm’s A Monument in Darkness 1. Cryptic Asceticism 2. Oneiric Abyss 3. The Veil Descends 4. Of Gold and Silver 5. Maleficent Creation 6. Moonlight Nigredo 7. A Monument in Darkness 8. Archetype
Today, horror heavy metallers Savage Master reveal the cover and tracklisting for their highly anticipated fourth album, Those Who Hunt at Night, which is set for international release on June 24th via Shadow Kingdom Records. Cover and tracklisting for Those Who Hunt at Night is as follows:
Tracklisting for Savage Master’s Those Who Hunt at Night 1. Hunt At Night 2. Eyes Behind The Stars 3. Rain of Tears 4. Spirit of Death 5. A Warrior’s Return 6. The Hangman’s Tree 7. Queen Satan 8. Vaster Empires 9. The Death of Time
One of the most exciting and electrifying bands in today’s occult heavy metal scene, during the first six years, Savage Master swiftly built an impressive canon of work over the course of two cult albums, one EP, one single, and especially their over-the-top live shows. The band was founded in 2013 by guitarist Adam Neal and vocalist Stacey Savage, so inspired by their love of heavy metal and horror. Soon enough, a mysterious spectacle was created, and it bore the name Savage Master. From there, the band began their assured ascent through the underground, touring non-stop across North America and Europe, playing such festivals such as Keep It True, Hell Over Hammaburg, Legions of Metal, Frost and Fire, Ragnarokkr, Hells Heroes and many more, and then landing themselves an album deal with longtime fans Shadow Kingdom.
The first fruit borne was 2019’s massively critically acclaimed Myth, Magic and Steel, which brought the band to many new listeners as well as solidified their position atop the throne of true heavy metal might. Now Savage Master stands taller than ever and surveys those they leave in the dust with their fourth full-length, Those Who Hunt at Night. All too perfectly titled, Those Who Hunt at Night sees Savage Master going in for the kill, keeping their unyielding-as-steel sound whilst sharpening it yet further with their clearest and most powerful production to date. In fact, that palpable professionalism profoundly impacts that sound – timeless electricity, eternal glory, boundless energy, authentically ancient but no tired “retro” retread, with the immediately recognizable vocals of Stacey Savage leading the charge – so much so, one could put the album alongside such early/mid ’80s stunners as Judas Priest’s Point of Entry (moody and dynamic) or Jag Panzer’s Ample Destruction (locomotion and drama). Which is to say nothing of the subtle-but-crucial placement of vintage synths across the 36-minute album, giving all nine songs a unique twist that altogether make the record a unified experience. Still, from the impeccably constructed hooks to the broader range of tempos they explore, Savage Master‘s creativity here seems to know no bounds whilst keeping their core intact.
Speed metallers, occult rockers, thrashers, NWOBHM fanatics, everyone in between and especially beyond – all have been entranced by Savage Master‘s mysteries of steel. Now, the wider world will feel the blade of Those Who Hunt at Night!
